TWH run – 11th September 2024 – Cathy’s goose

Club Events
Greetings Harriers

This week we have a Cathy Gill classic from 2019.
So, with Cathy as this week’s Routemaster , fasten your seat belts and here we go ……
Enjoy the poultry theme. The long route is a pretty irate looking goose, flapping its wings, and the short route is a more refined bird. (Supposed to be)

Left on London Road
Right up Major Yorks
Left on Nevill Park (watch for the speedbumps)

Right on Bishops Down Park Road (watch for the bollards)

We have a 6.5 mile long route and a short route of 5.2 miles – something for everyone.
Head torch is not essential needed this week but would be handy on Nevill Park and Hurstwood Lane.

This week’s route is mostly well lit but please try and stay in groups as much as possible, looking out especially for guests, newer members and wear something bright and hi viz. Our 2 tail runners this week are Lucille (short) and Colin Ricketts (long)

Whether you’re training hard, tapering , recovering from your weekend marathon, or just want to run with your friends, there is something for you.
Current forecast for Wednesday is for a dry but cooler 10C. (It was 25C this time last year !)

Map and GPX attached.

There is also a walking group that sets off at the same time. So if you’re injured, tired or just want to let it be come along and walk with friends.

The cricket club crew host us in the bar afterwards selling the finest beer, AF lager and ale, wine and soft drinks in the vicinity, at special prices, so why not relax and have a drink with friends before you head home.
I won’t be there as I will be running around a track in Battersea more times than I can count.

7:30 prompt start from the Nevill – change rooms, showers and bar all open – it’s time to commit !
