Ist race report of the year me thinks.
On a very overcast rain filled day a few people who presumably didn’t celebrate too hard on new years even ventured to this well organised but hilly choice of a 5k or 10k road race.
Running together for the first lap the 5k runners peeled off to finish as the 10k ers faced the hills again.
The route starts from the village hall back towards Tunbridge wells up a hill with a nasty kick at the end a sharp turn right and back past the start , up the hill of the old A21 road and into the grounds of Scotney castle for small loop and back the way you came .

34th Laura Plane TWH 30.49
Laura is new to the club didn’t enter as TWH but proudly wore the vest and was her first race since joining recently. There were 106 finishers.
10k
1st Angel Lopez TAC. 35.01
1st female 22nd overall Sasha Hougton TAC.43.26.
7th Dave Hadaway TWH 40.35
36th Ollie Stride TWH 46.35 (5 weeks after the birth of his son so lack of training & sleep)
159th Andrew Goodman 1.01.40 .
There were 201 finishers.
