BMC Virtual 1km
As Patrick is too lazy to write the race report I thought I would just send something around for Bob’s record books. This was another Open Track event involving an all out 1km effort. My choice of route along the Langton road is no longer a fast course as is now busy on both the road and pavement and the faster you run the more you notice how it really isn’t very flat! The format was similar in that you had the bank holiday weekend to set your time, if you remember it was a windy weekend so obviously everyone ahead of me must have had the wind behind them. May TW Challenge
The May challenge was a 2 lap insanely steep 2km run around Knights Wood. Pretty much no one realised this area existed so many thanks to Adam for finding yet another area in Tunbridge Wells for us to visit! The competition was hot again especially for the bronze medal with only 4 seconds separating 4 runners in the mens competition. In total 29 runners took part and once again Dillon knocked Patrick off the top medal position with a last minute effort. In the ladies competition only 6 took part (come on ladies, excellent training opportunity!) with Kate Naylor taking an early lead to be only be undone with 2 days to go by Hayley Larkin.
