Canterbury 10 and sign up for Deal! KGP UPDATE!

Kent Grand Prix

Hey everyone

Congrats to everyone who raced today at Canterbury in the wind and cold, braving some of the longest number collection queues known to humankind.
Dave Weston, as first of us, is kindly going to do a race report, but I wanted to remind you to sign up for Deal half marathon. It’s the next KGP race and is on February 16th. Deal in February, what could be nicer?
Today a few of us picked up our trophies from last year , including the women’s team, but not the men’s. It would be super if we could stand around for an hour next year and get them both.
Individual honours also went to Dave Weston, Gareth Hiron, Amelie Karlsson, Tara Taylor and me. Well done us!
I would like the women’s team to share the cup around (and clean it if you like) so let me know if you have a place on your mantelpiece where it would look fabulous.
So, please sign up for Deal if you can. Those of you that are new to racing are very welcome- please come and have a chat about racing with some of us if you want some more details. It’s not scary, is fun and friendly (usually).
And while you’re at it, sign up to volunteer at Tunbridge Wells half please. Nothing else to do on a filthy afternoon like this. Other than marking mock exams.
Happy running
Ali
