Subject: Charity car parks for Paddock Wood Half marathon on 3rd March 2024
Dear Club officer,
In previous years some of your club runners have raced in the Paddock Wood half marathon, so I wanted to let you know that as the local charity in Paddock Wood (Compaid ) we will again have two charity car parks on Sunday 3rd March for runners wishing to park near to the start.
Our two car parks accommodate 185 cars and are both less than 200m from the start, which allows runners to warm up return any kit back to their cars and still have the convenience of jogging to the start line close by. As a fellow athlete (Tonbridge AC) I know the benefits this can offer especially when our weather is so unpredictable.
Our car parks on Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood, (Sat Nav TN12 6BU & TN12 6DG) are open from 7.45am and do fill up very quickly. We do not charge for this parking but ask for a donation (Suggested £5) with all proceeds benefiting Compaid charity which supports disabled and vulnerable people across Kent. We have been running our parking for the past 12 years and this fundraising opportunity enables us to raise much-needed funds through your generosity.
Runners & spectators wishing to use our parking can donate by card & cash as they enter the car parks. It is our intention to get you parked as quickly and efficiently as possible.
I would be grateful if you would share this information with your club members in the hope that they will be happy to support our charity parking on the day.
