Dear Runners
Below are the directions for tonight’s route around the rocks of Tunbridge Wells (Wellington, Toad, Happy Valley & High Rocks). Attached is a marked OS Map showing the route. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it tonight as I have a Tenpin Bowling Match tonight. For the second week running Ed will run through the route. I hope today’s rain does not make it too wet or muddy in places.
Tour of the Rocks-
Out via Tennis Club entrance
Down Upper Cumberland Walk
Cross Rodmell Road
Down Cumberland Walk
Cross Frant Road at the Pelican crossing
Left along London Road
Right across Zebra crossing
Up long path to Wellington Rocks
Cross Mount Ephraim at zebra crossing
Down Bishops Down Road
Down Hurstwood Lane
Left into Bishops Down Park Road
Left towards Hurst Wood
Left after pumping station
Follow footpath to Woodside Road
Left up Harmoney Street
Right at the Toad Rock Retreat
Up Upper Street
At the end of the tarmac road go left up path to Rusthall road
Cross Rusthall Road
Up path to Langton Road
Cross Langton Road
Path to St Pauls Church
Right towards Happy Valley
Middle path past viewing point to top of steps
Down the 100 steps (actually 105 to the bottom) – Take Care as some of the steps are a bit green and slippery.
Left along path below the Happy Valley Rocks
Right into The Midway
Down Midway past Nevil Park
Down Path to High Rocks Lane
Right along High Rocks Lane and over railway bridge
Left onto path through Friezland Wood (muddy in places)
Passing below the High Rocks
Through woods and into field along side the railway line
Past new houses at bottom of Ramslye
LONG ROUTE
Right up Eridge Road
Left up Broadwater Down
Right up St Marks Road
Left down Frant Road
Right along Forest Road
Past Warwick Road
Left at bus stop through gate and across field
Through path on to Delves Avenue
Left down Delves Avenue
Left into Cavendish Drive
left into footpath over railway line
Down Upper Cumberland Walk
Left into Tennis Club entrance

Right up Nevil Terrace
Left up Linden Park Road
Right up Montacute Road
Right up Frant Road
