Kent Grand Prix Update

Kent Grand Prix

Afternoon All,

With 8 of the 10 races completed in this seasons Kent Grand Prix, the standing are as follows:

MENS WOMENS
Petts Wood 3646 Tunbridge Wells Harriers 1179
Tunbridge Wells Harriers 3281 Petts Wood 1169
Thanet Road Runners 2494 Tonbridge 779

In the Men’s, Petts Wood retain a commanding lead, which we have managed to bring down A little in the last few races. We are not out of it, but I sense we will need to dominate the scoring in the last two races if we are to stand a chance of retaining our title!

In the Women’s it is a much closer affair where we hold a very narrow lead. Again we will need a good showing in the last two races to retain this title.

The last two races in the calendar are the Larkfield 10k on 22nd September (which is also the Kent Championships) and the Maidstone Half Marathon on 20th October. Lets see if we can get some strong teams out for these with some big points scores needed!!

In the individual standings there are a few names to note:

MENS
David Weston – 3rd overall
Gareth Hiron – 4th overall
Geoff Turner – 2nd M60

WOMENS
Amelie Karlsson – 2nd overall
Ali Farrall – 3rd overall & 2nd F45
Jillian Holford – 6th overall & 4th F45
Tara Taylor – 1st F55
Lucille Joannes – 3rd F65

Best Wishes
