> Just to introduce myself, my name’s Nicky and I’m the event manager for the Royal Tunbridge Wells Race for Life on Sunday 4th June 2023 taking place at Dunorlan Park.  We are desperately short of volunteers – especially course marshals and back markers to walk behind the participants– and we have a 5k and 3k course to cover.
>
> Please could I ask if it would be possible to spread the word to your members?  If anyone can give up just a few hours of their precious time from 09.30am, I’d be so incredibly grateful.  The event should be over by 12.30pm, but even if they can only do a couple of hours, we can make arrangements for that!
>
> It’s a wonderful event – lovely atmosphere, and overwhelming feedback after our events is that our marshals and their encouragement enhances the event experience for our participants – and that in turn can impact our fundraising.  Every single pound raised from Race for Life goes directly to our Cancer Research UK funded doctors, scientists and nurses to support their life-saving research.  It really does make a difference.

> If you can assist us at all, please let members know that they can sign up here: https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/get-involved/volunteer/help-at-an-event/race-for-life or feel free to contact me (nicola.halse@cancer.org.uk).
