Wednesday Run – Boar’s Head, Nr Crowborough

News

This Wednesday, we’ll be heading out to the Boar’s Head Inn near Crowborough for a run organised by Richard Carter (thanks for taking on the responsibility!)

Directions to The Boarshead Inn – TN6 3GR:
Take the A26 Eridge Road out of Tunbridge Wells.
3/4 of a mile after the Bowles outdoor centre turning, turn Left into Boarshead Road, which is actually 200m before the pub so easy to miss.  This is 1/4 mile before the BP garage also on your left.
Although we will meet in the small pub car park, it would be appreciated if we considered the pub patrons when parking.  There is ample parking on Boarshead Road in the opposite direction from the pub.

Pub Location

The route will take us West of the A26, in an anti-clockwise loop North of Crowborough in ‘The Weald’ AONB.  There will be a floured trail of approximately 7+ miles, with a shortened option of 4ish miles.

Although the routes are floured, please note in particular any stragglers, that the crossings of the A26 are hazardous.  Take extra care when emerging from the first footpath heading West out of Boarshead road near the start.

There are scenic views from the pub garden and standard pub fayre to aid post run recovery.  Last food orders are taken at 20:45 so pre-ordering prior to starting the run is recommended.

We will depart at 19:30.

Next week is the handicap, but we should be able to do another couple of away days if people are interested in organising them before we lose the light. Contact Ed Steele if you are interested.
